ABOUT MY MUSIC
My music largely serves as a vehicle with which I can channel what I feel into something tangible or, in this case, audible. At a young age, I witnessed firsthand that music had the power to move people, both emotionally and physically. Ever since then, I have dedicated my life to making more of it.
Making music also serves a therapeutic purpose for me, personally. Songs are like time capsules, diary entries that exist as more than just words on a page. When you listen to a song, sometimes you can feel what the person who made it felt when they did.
Injecting my life experiences, the good and the bad parts, into my music allows me to crystallize their existence in sound. It helps me cope. It makes me feel like whatever emotions I had to experience in order for that song to come into fruition were worth enjoying (if they're positive), or enduring (if they're negative).
How strange it is to be anything at all.
ABOUT ME
Hello. My name is Ethan, better known by my music alias "Pacific Purgatory". I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 5th, 2002. My Chinese zodiac sign is the horse. ๐
I lived in Hawaii until I was about 8, before my parents moved us to Las Vegas, Nevada where I have lived since. I try to go back often.
Outside of music, I have a deep love for languages of all sorts from around the world. I'm currently learning Japanese and Spanish, but once I'm fluent in those I want to learn Portuguese and Chinese, maybe Russian.
I like to imagine storylines for original characters in my head while walking around and listening to music. One day, I want to make video games and soundtrack movies.
I fix airplanes for a living, but someday soon I will be a full-time rockstar.
I'm a particularly introverted person (though not by choice) and my MBTI is INTJ.
I enjoy being in dense cities with trains that can take you anywhere, and I like when the lights of the city reflect against a cloudy night sky.
My favorite food is chicken curry made using S&B Golden Curry mix. My favorite drink is A&W root beer (sugar free, of course).
